buying a house is not like A,B,C

Planning for a house is not like munching almonds. Just choose and pop into your mouth. I've seen a few houses around(apartments, condos) but none manage to capture my interest yet. Price might be good but the condition (area, interior, etc) doesn't make me go aaww and when the price is like 'roof-top', the house is so beautiful...Landed houses in Penang is like the 'highest-tower-in-the-world' unless if I'm a tycoon's daughter....Well, it's better for me to still do some searching before rushing into any decision...Don't want to regret later..Houese built y IJM and Ivory is so 'pretty' but I can't afford that kind at the moment...There's a few things I want to settle first before getting into marriage so that I don't have to still renting a house later on...A car and a house..Not to brag, but if I have any extra cash...including help from daddy;-), I'd get a Honda for myself. My current obsession is the Honda City/Civic...But for a start I would go for a Vios but BMW would still be my preferred choice(even my own boss don't drive BMW..hahaha)... Well better put things together first instead of a last minute thing...

15th Anniversay

Met with one of my classmate after work. Discussed about our project which due next Wednesday..Tiring and sleepy...

Anyway, my company celebrated our 15 years Anniversary in Malaysia so there were some activities in cafe. Dancing, singing, and launching of our new official song for the company. Singers were among our company's staff and winners of the 15 years Anniversary Official song competition (m not gonna upload here). They have to create their own lyrics and beats...Didn't know we have such talented people in the office..I didn't manage to record the whole song. Just part of it....The whole event lasted for 1 hour (people have to get back to work ok,not that we're on holiday)

One of the staff sang Norah Jones's made famous song 'Don't Know Why'..She was damn good...

strength within is the fuel

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength.

I'm darn tired today. Work till 5pm and then class at 7pm. God please give me the strength. Had a great night of photography with BFF yesterday. I hope she enjoyed my company and thanks darling for the gorgeous photos. Waiting for her to upload them into my Facebook. We'll do it again next time and next destination will be Batu Feringgi...Ahahah..Kononnya pro photographer la...As BFF is still learning on how to use her DSLR, I volunteered to be her so-called 'model'...Model yang pendek...Xpa la..Pendek pun jadila...And I miss Along(she's in Sabah I think). Thinking of going back to Singapore this coming January 2011. Been 2 years since I last visited my aunties, cousins and uncles...Hhmm...The family be spending the almost-2-months school holiday in Singapore starting next month.

*and should I cut my hair short or keep it long and then go for wavy look??

Most of my friends are in the mid of changing their status from 'single'--'engaged'--'married'.. So when is it gonna be my turn?? I can't get married now due to a few reason and one of it is because I'm still studying... Some people said 'After married also still can study what'...It is not that easy buddy... But marriage is at the back of my mind now...The feeling is there...So now I have to make sure everything is in place...Money and properties...Gotta stop shopping from today onwards (nak kumpul duit la konon)*laughing at herself*...I hope everything will be in place within 2 years time...Goshhhh....

weeekend activities

Attended the USM Grand Scholarly Debate yesterday at Dewan Budaya, USM. It was a whole day event (9am-5.30pm)..Topic of the day was Are We Lacking in Economic Strength To Become A Develop Country..Topic was interesting but some speakers made us doze off for a while... Food was provided(brunch, lunch and tea time). For Graduate School of Business students (mainly MBA's), we are required to pay only RM50..For outsiders, fees will be RM250(with some extra goodies and not just the recycle bag).. Food was good and catered by Selera Wawasan Catering (near Sungai Pinang)... We also receive goodie bag (a recycle bag, note pad and a pencil)...One of the speakers was Y.M Tengku Tan Sri Dr.Mahaleel Tengku Ariff. His speeches were good and 'lively'. Other invited speakers were Y.Bhg Senator Tan Sri Amirsham A.Aziz (National Economic Advisory Council), Y.Bhg Tan Sri Dr.Sulaiman Mahbob (Chairman of the Malaysia Industrial Development Authority and Industry Advisory panel member of GSB), Mr Charles Ireland ( President of Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Mr Jonathan Addis (Chairman of the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce). Tun Mahathir were suppose to be one of the panelist but was replace by Mr Hashim Mohammed( Industry Advisory Panel member for GSB) at a very last minute due to health reason. If he were present, it would be definitely a grand debate:-)... Event was divided in to 2 session..Morning and afternoon and attendance were taken twice as well (to avoid student cabut from the 2nd session, people like me:-)).

YM Tengku Mahaleel having light conversation with some of the students before starting of the second session debate.

purchase of the month

Got this portable speaker (with subwoofer) in Tesco. Got it on sale for a price of RM52.90..Cheap isn't it..Was reluctant to get it at first but everyone in office was talking about it.... It seems like everyone wants to get it. So called boyfie and brought him along that night itself. I didn't get to actually use the speaker yet except the time when I get it tested before paying for it...Might get another model also but same brand...

updates...

Pictures were taken during TM CR Program for Community and Environment 2010 talk in the auditorium

Falling in love and having a relationship are two different things.

Sorry for the lack of update for the past 2 days. Been busy with workload and projects. Anyway, today is my 3rd year anniversary with boyfie and we ate Shauban for celebration*LOL*.. Have planned a few things but haven't had that time to do it. So we decided to postpone the celebration to another day...Maybe when both of us manage to get a leave...Unless if I have my own company..Ahahaha...Nothing much during these 2 days...

blessing of the day

God will not permit any troubles to come upon us, unless He has a specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty.

Arrived home safely considered as a blessing right...

say grace

Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.
~W.T. Purkiser

I admit that sometimes when bad things happen especially when it happen the entire week, feels like everyone and everything is going against me...I'll ask God 'Why is this happening?'.....I never understood the obstacle that He has thrown in for me...But as time goes by, I understand well... I try to take things one step at a time rather than doing everything all at once when I myself know that it is out of my capability... Last time, I do things so that people will like me and I didn't realize that even though people might like me, that doesn't mean they accept the way I am..They might be talking bad about me behind my back and smile nicely in front of me...I admit I bought friendship... Soon I realize it was wrong and I got my sense back...I know that I'm a nuisance, freak or a fussy to certain people but that's who I am. Yes, I do pick each strain of hair on the floor, and yes, I don't like the sink to be damp wet...The point is we can't change people if they themselves doesn't want to and I'm still learning to be grateful with what I have and yes I'm just a normal human who can't run from making mistakes...Who doesn't right???

Watched this movie earlier...And damn have I read the online reviews wrongly???....It was boring..Throughout the show, I was like 'When the hell is this movie gonna end??' I was falling asleep halfway (even though I had my 3 hours sleep in the afternoon)Basically this movie is about soul-searching, making decision and knowing what you want/scare of in life (something like that)..Maybe the reviews that I've read is from a writer who pretty much favor this sort of story line..Not for me...But it seems that boyfie enjoyed it (coz its weird as I know he likes to watch movie with fighting/adventure scenes) . On the way back we tapau Burger King..They were closing and left only whooper burger (we bought it anyway)

*Some are just hard to teach no matter how many times you try to teach/tell them...So don't waste your time spend on this kind of human...Its just a waste of your time seriously...

happy weekend people

It is weekend again peeps. Have a great holiday. Drive safely...

Final exam is next month and I gotta scrub my ass till wee hours again...OMG!!! Again???

of friendships...

pictures courtesy of Sarah's DSLR. thanx

This picture was taken during Sarah's 'rumah terbuka'. We did not plan to stay that long (till about 9pm from 5 in the evening). Cik Pah said she wanted to take a look at the house so me and Alla tagged as well. Sarah took us around the house from the front porch to the kitchen to the rooms and to the bathroom:-) It was an old-classic-british type of house. Inside has been renovated before the whole family moved in. It has contemporary deco. Didn't manage to take pictures of the exact deco. But the above pic was taken in the guest living room (air conditioned ok)...We drink and ate cakes, which supposedly a gift from Eastin hotel and it was for Sarah's in-laws..But we (as in Alla and Cik Pah) whacked most of the toppings... Alla and Cik Pah nibbled most of the fruits and the cake deco...Greedy girls!!!...As I don't really favor chocolate moist cake, I didn't eat. Plus my stomach was packed with lontong, nasi dagang, kuih and laksa which we ate before we entered the house during the open house...Food was good especially the nasi dagang....It's kind of sad when we had to leave as it has been a long time since all of us get to gossip and such...Sarah didn't change much..Still same old her with her jokes, nonsense and laughter..And she has 1 daughter already...Hahahaha.

13 years of friendship and still going strong...

A good friend is a connection to life - a tie to the past, a road to the future, the key to sanity in a totally insane world.

I believed that most of us received emails and some even posted in FB saying that Burger King is officially opened in Penang. A long waited favorite joint has finally here...Set that aside....Met with my long old school classmate back in Secondary 5. It was good to see her and had a long chat as well with BFF Alla and Cik Pah. So sad that Along could not be here:-)...Sarah invited us to her 'rumah terbuka' at the Kediaman Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri (i hope I got it right)... We took a few photos and most of it is in Cik Pah's and Sarah's digicam and SLR....How good if all of us can often meet like this...And we just realize that all of us has been friends for the past 13 years...My God... And this prove that we're getting older each day..Ppfftt..Well, one day we'll look and enjoy the moments that we had together..You now what, despite of every arguments, tears, laughters, craziness and every little things that we said to each other, never a moment I regret knowing the friends that I have back in Secondary school...These are the bunch of people who really stood by me even though my own world look 'ugly' at times... They too never once judge me of the mistakes I made in my life...They supported until I changed to what I am now...They listen to my nagging even though it's 3am in the morning...

what makes a life complete and what is moderate lifestyle???

picture was taken during lunch last weekend

A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.
~Dwight D. Eisenhower

Definitely some post to think about after you have read..I did...Ever wondering what makes one's life complete?? A big car? Tonnes of cash?? Married to a good husband?? A big house?? Well, one thing for sure, every one has their own definition of 'complete life'..To me?? I'm indefinite seriously...This topic was brought up because of some post that I've seen on the web.. Won't mention where (sensitive case:-) )...Some just feel satisfied after they've own a house, married to someone, 2 kids and a car, but is that enough or a 'complete' life requires more than that?? As a human created by The Almighty, we will never be satisfied with what we have. Not to forget myself as well...Everyone says live in moderation but I don't really see that concept implemented in today's society...Today's so called 'moderate' lifestyle is having a big car, a big bungalow, a high post, branded stuffs from head to toe....Weird isn't it??? And people would kill each other just to live up to that standard...Ada yang sanggup ikat perut..Bak kata setengah orang '
biar bergaya asal papa'. Pelik kan...

Not just that, ada setengah manusia bukannya kaya pun tapi berlagak lebih...That sounds familiar to me coz I met that type of 'person' before and it was a bad mistakep:-p... Well, people will always assume many things but the wise one will understand well...

DiGi iPhone 4 Play

I don't own an Iphone but I have a friend who has and I'll be the 'temporary-stealer' every time we meet. And he'll say 'Hayoo, you got no one's hp to use is it ha??'..Hahha...Sorry John... Anyway the only reason I borrowed his Iphone is just to play one particular game which is Angry Birds. My partner always says that I don't use my logic to do certain things or I'm lazy to use my brain to think before doing something so while scrolling John's Iphone, I saw this game and think 'Why not?'...It was hard at first but eventually it is quite fun as I need to plan strategically before launching and attack...Therefore, indirectly I'm actually using my brain...And not just it is fun, the bird is cute as well:-)

F1 Singapore fever

Watched FI Singapore on TV earlier and amazed on how well their main road are built up to the point they can organize a Formula One race!!! Hell yea... Singapore is a small country but yet they're more advance that us...They must be proud of that...

DiGi iPhone 4 Me

Well, enough said that Digi has launch it first ever new Iphone4 for customers on the 24th September 2010. When I first saw the Iphone 3G, I was like..oohh ok...Just like a normal usual PDA so-called...So when the Iphone4 was launch and I saw its advert on TV, I was like, I need to get that, but..........not for me, it is for someone I care for long time...I know it sound ridiculous, it is for my partner. For the past 3 years, I have never actually get a gift for him...He's been wearing old clothes, old phone, or other current things that he has. And for this, it would be good if he has something new once in his life and since it is our 3rd year anniversary next month, I'll be happy to see his smiling face and tears of joy running down his cheeks.

apa adanya dengan boyfriend mat salleh

What to be proud of if you have an English boyfriend?? I don't discriminate but some people just like to show off when they have an English boyfriend. They're human as well..Weird right?? Mentang-mentang ada boyfriend mat salleh, menjaja satu dunia. I'm saying this not out of envy but I don't know why people wants to show off...Mat salleh bila ada girlfriend Asian, tak nampak pun diaorang nak menunjuk...We Asians are the one who's soooo effin' proud with them..I don't see they feel the same as us...Well everyone has their own right...Enough said.

Have to meet one of my classmate later for group discussion on a Sunday morning...Sad,so sad!!! What a life I have..There's always sacrifice to be made when you study and working at the same time...

saurday nite life

Stuck at home watching TV and updating my Cafe World. Sad isn't it. Fells like I'm a 8o years old grandma stuck in a 18 years old teenager...Life oh life
